Liemers Museum

A surprisingly varied regional museum under one roof with the colourful Gelders Schuttersmuseum

The collection in the Liemers Museum features historical objects from the Liemers area in the field of archaeology, natural history, religious art, the Second World War, old branches of industry such as an overall picture of the cigarette industry in Zevenaar (Turmac Collection), the Gimborn factory - both in Zevenaar -, and a number of exhibits from the brickyard and De Hoop shipyard. The museum also has a large collection featuring regional clubs.The Gelders Schutters Museum features an attractive collection of flags, banners, sashes, uniforms, medallions, medals, photos and documentation about historical rifle clubs and rifle associations in Gelderland, the Federatie van Gelderse Schuttersgilden, Schutterijen St. Hubertus and the Europese Gemeenschap van Historische Schuttersgilden. Temporary exhibitions are organised regularly.

Open from Tuesday to Sunday inclusive from 2pm to 5pm.
Easter Monday, Whit Monday and Boxing Day.
Closed New Year's Day, Shrovetide Sunday, Easter Sunday, Queen's Birthday (30 April), Whit Sunday and Christmas Day.
